[Blackjack] Two Aces vs Dealer's 10
Is hitting two Aces ridiculous?

Hi, there.
I'm Nokkie.
A Youtube viewer from the United States gave comment to me.
He pointed out that I hadn't resplit the hand a few times during the test.
Normally, they are allowed to split three times and make 4 hands in the US.
It's a new information to me.
Then I thought whether to resplit a hand on the next test.
To be sure, it is sometimes beneficial to the players, though.
That depends on the situations.
In my opinion, it's sufficient to split a pair just once, even if we are allowed to do it more.
Some players say, "I should have resplit, and we could have won more." after the game is over.
There is no point in regretting what we have done.
Anyway, I'll move on to the main topic.
Do you definitely split a pair of Ace in Blackjack?
The topic is about two Aces vs Dealer's 10.
In the basic strategy, split Aces is recommended regardless of Dealer's face-up card.
But some players choose hit, not split in this situation.
They might guess the next card would be low number.
I have never chosen hit two-ace hand.
I wonder we shouldn't do that.
Updated below
I conducted a test practically in order to examine which choice is better.
First, I took the test with hole-card style.
▼Experiment 1▼
The winning rate shown at the end of the video doesn't include a tie.
▼Detailed Result 1▼
The following two graphs show the percentages of each outcome.
Next, I took the same test with European Style (no hole card).
In the following video, Japanese language is used.
▼Experiment 2▼
The winning rate shown at the end of the video doesn't include a tie.
▼Detailed Result 2▼
The following two graphs show the percentages of each outcome.
We are likely to have one-win, one-loss, and then even in total.
Isn't it good not to lose?
We wanna avoid losing double, don't we?
From the graph, we would lose once every twice.
Observed AA+10+10=22 several times during the test.
It's a painful defeat!
The results except for a tie are as follows:
Winning Rate
Split 45% Hit 42%
The chip's fluctuation
Split -9 chips Hit -14 chips
To sum up, splitting Aces is a bit better than hit.
The renewal is done.
Thank you for reading.
I'll go to another article to make it better.
Calculated based on 40 data.
When splitting, the winning percentage is calculated about 50% in total, except for a tie.
The chip's fluctuation is positive 2 chips (40→42).
The following graph shows the percentages considering a tie.
On the other hand, when hitting, the winning percentage is calculated about 51% in total, except for a tie.
The chip's fluctuation is positive 1 chips (40→41).
The next shows the percentages considering a tie.
The number of the trials was just 40 in total.
From the results gained by the tests, split is virtually the same as hit in the above situation.
However, I never feel like hitting Aces, so all I have to do is split the pair anytime.
That's all.
I hope you will be interested in my articles.
I'll be back soon.
Have a nice day.
