[Blackjack] soft 18 vs Dealer's 2

Do you double down on soft hand?
soft 18 against Dealer's 2 in Blackjack

Doomo.

Hi.

I'm a Japanese guy, Nokkie.

I envy people who can play casino games legally.
As you may know, casino gambling in Japan is illegal so far.
Online casino is allowed, but I'm not interested in it.
I love live casinos.

I bet you are enjoying yourself on Saturday night, aren't you?
In casino, not only can we enjoy gambling but also other things such as just looking at other's play, chatting and drinking with friends or relatives, disco and so on.

I wish I lived in a town where there's a legal casino.
Since it can't be helped, I just put myself in making a study of casino games, particularly blackjack.

I also like roulette.
I used to put chips on zero or around, for example, 26,0,32.
It's an European roulette.
There's a single zero, but double zero.

Anyway, I'll move on to today's topic.

Oh, I suddenly get tired.
I'll continue to write tomorrow.

I'm back.
I got surprised at the Youtube analysis.
The number of visitors to my blackjack videos has rapidly increased!
I'm quite motivated by the number.

Not only the number but also the play time inspires me to keep on creating a new video.
I'm very happy to have comrades who also make a study of BJ.
Since I cannot play it in a live casino here in Japan, I hope my comrades will succeed in winning it instead of me.

By the way, I almost forgot the topic.
It is about soft hands of Blackjack.
There are two kinds of the case.

One is when a player's first hand is soft 18 and a dealer's initial card is 2.

In the basic strategy, 'stay' is recommended, not 'double down'.

This time, I conducted a test practically in American Style and examined the difference between the two choices, 'stay' and 'double down'.

Which choices do you think is better?

▼Practical Test (Soft 18 vs Dealer's 2)▼

I realized that Dealer's 2 is strong to some extent.
I felt a big difference between 2 and 3.
Against Dealer's 3-6, in this situation, 'double down' is recommended, though.
We should be careful of Dealer's 2.

The other case is when a player's first hand is soft 13 and a dealer's initial card is 5.

In the BS, 'double down' is recommended if it is allowed.
In my case, I don't get used to doing it, though.
I'm interested in it.

I conducted another test and got the winning percentages for the two choices, 'double down' and just 'hit'.

Which do you think is better?

▼Practical Test (Soft 13 vs Dealer's 5)▼

As I expected, a 10's card often appeared when doubling.
That's meaningless, though.
We will win if the dealer's hand busts fortunately.
In this situation, Dealer's 5 is quite weak.

From the test result, I have to say that we shouldn't double down, though.
If you are in good condition of your luck, doubling may get exciting to you.
In addition, you may also be admired by other players if you succeed in taking a card of 8!
That'll be comfortable.

That's all for today.
I have been enjoying keeping this blog.
It takes more time to write in English since it is not my first language.
This blog is one of my interests and also my English learning tool.

Thank you for reading my article and watching my videos.
How were they?
If you like, please comment.

Have a nice day.  Bye.
